Parallel Realities

Festival of Exhibitions #FOE19

The FOE19 project theme, designed as a “social sculpture”, applied the simple choice of “switching orbits” into a parallel reality of awesomeness, to accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative. The FOE became a temporal platform to share our diverse personal artistic perspectives of what it means to live in a positive lifestyle in 2019.

The #FOE19 combined 6 very simple different accessible creative spaces in 4 locations in close proximity around the Beachlands community.

On display, a wide range of local talented creatives representing a diversity of artistic styles to meet a variety of tastes: contemporary fine art, group and solo exhibition, hand craft collective, prominent local artist open studio, instagram photo/moving image installation and an experimental evolutionary art installation.

Within the conventional contemporary art exhibition space at the Chartered Club, an unconventional visitor experience was provided by 79 year old Pat Cross, a local legendary artist in action.

Aim? To encourage visitors to connect and embrace the new, and to question how we experience art in our daily life. How an unusual arts ambience can transform human qualities of curiosity and experimentation into an exploration of potential future positive outcomes.
